Connect Vinted

RestocksAIO uses Vinted as a store channel, next to eBay and Shopify. You sign in to Vinted in a window that RestocksAIO opens. RestocksAIO keeps the session on your computer. It does not keep your Vinted password.

Supported Vinted sites

A Vinted account belongs to one country site. You choose the site when you connect. Prices on the account use the currency of that site.

The sign-in browser

RestocksAIO opens the Vinted sign-in page in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome. RestocksAIO cannot use Safari.

If the computer has neither browser, RestocksAIO asks Download the login browser. The download is Google's "Chrome for Testing" build:

RestocksAIO checks the downloaded file before it installs it. It uses this browser only for marketplace sign-in. On other computers, RestocksAIO shows "No login browser exists for this computer. Install Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome, then connect again."

Each account gets its own browser profile on your computer. When you remove the account, RestocksAIO deletes this profile.

Connect the account

1. Open Settings → Accounts.
2. Select Vinted.
3. Click Connect account. The pane shows Connect Vinted and Browser login.
4. In Vinted country site, choose the country of your Vinted account.
5. Click Connect Vinted. The Vinted sign-in window opens.
6. Sign in with Google, Apple or your password.

The window closes when the sign-in is complete. RestocksAIO then reads the seller account.

During the sign-in, the button shows Waiting for sign-in…. Keep RestocksAIO open. The sign-in stops when you close the window or after 5 minutes. Then click Connect Vinted again.

To reconnect an account, select it and start the connection again. Each sign-in uses a new, empty browser profile.

Publishing defaults

After the connection, select the Vinted account in Settings → Accounts. Go to Publishing defaults.

What RestocksAIO does on Vinted

The payout of a Vinted sale is the item price. A private seller pays no seller fee on Vinted.

If a buyer cancels after RestocksAIO used up the unit, RestocksAIO shows the order for review. It does not put the unit back in stock automatically.

One unit for each item

A Vinted item holds one unit.

• Quantity 1 keeps the item live.
• Quantity 0 deletes the item. The menu shows Delete from Vinted (cannot be undone). To sell the item again, publish it again.
• RestocksAIO does not support a quantity above 1. Publish one item for each unit.
• Vinted has no size variations. Publish each size as its own item.
• RestocksAIO does not delete an item that a buyer reserved. It also does not delete an item when Vinted does not show whether the item is sold or reserved.

Item rules

RestocksAIO checks these rules before a publish:

• The item needs a title and at least one photo. Vinted takes at most 20 photos.
• Each photo must be a JPEG, PNG or WebP file of 3 MB or less.
• Vinted takes only your own photos. See Own photos only.
• The price must be at least 1 in the currency of the site.
• The size must be a size of the account category. RestocksAIO accepts "EU 42", "42" and "42 EU". When the category has no size field, the item has no size.
• Vinted needs a colour. RestocksAIO finds the colour in the title or the description.
• RestocksAIO matches the brand to the Vinted brand list. If no brand matches, it sends the brand as text.
• Vinted receives the description as plain text, at most 2,000 characters.

Own photos only

Vinted does not allow stock pictures or pictures from the internet. RestocksAIO sends only your own photos to Vinted:

• the stored photos of the unit or the product. See Photo Storage.
• photo files that you add with Add from computer in the Publish Composer.

RestocksAIO never sends catalogue pictures, marketplace pictures or pasted picture addresses to Vinted. In the Publish Composer, the photo counter of the Vinted channel shows "source: your photos".

When a unit has no own photo, the Publish Composer blocks the Vinted channel with "Vinted needs your own photos. Add photos to this unit or product in Photo storage." The other channels of the same publish still publish.

Relist and Relist from backup use the photos of the saved copy. This rule does not change them.

What RestocksAIO does not do on Vinted

• It does not buy or print shipping labels. Ship the order through Vinted.
• It does not read Vinted payouts.
• It does not edit the title, the description or the photos of a live item. It changes only the price.
