Relist from a Saved Copy

Relist Vinted and Wallapop items as fresh copies, and put a Vinted, Wallapop, eBay or Shopify listing back on sale from a saved copy after it ended, sold or was deleted. Daily limits and pauses included.

Relist deletes a live Vinted or Wallapop item and publishes a fresh copy of it. Before it deletes anything, RestocksAIO saves a copy of the item on your computer. Relist from backup publishes this saved copy again when the site no longer has the item, or when the item sold.

For eBay and Shopify, RestocksAIO has Relist from backup only. It puts a listing back on sale after the listing ended, sold or was deleted. See eBay and Shopify.

Relist is part of the store channels in Premium. See Connect Vinted and Connect Wallapop.

Vinted and Wallapop can restrict accounts that automate their activity. Keep the number of relists low. The app suggests 5 to 10 relists a day for each account.

Relist a live item

  1. Open the Marketplace tab.
  2. Right-click a Vinted or Wallapop item, or tick several items and open the row menu.
  3. Click Relist. With several live items, the menu shows Relist · N.
  4. Read the confirmation. It shows how many relists each account has left today.
  5. Click Relist · N to start, or Cancel to stop.

For each live item, RestocksAIO does these steps in this order:

  1. It reads the item in full and saves a copy on this computer: the fields and the photos. RestocksAIO deletes nothing before this step.
  2. It publishes a new item with the same title, description, price, photos, category, size, condition and brand. The new item takes the unit links of the old item at once.
  3. After the new item reads back live, RestocksAIO deletes the old item.
  4. It removes the unit links from the old item.

Relist does not touch a sold or reserved item. It also skips drafts. For a sold item, use Relist from backup.

Relist from backup

Relist from backup is for an item that the site no longer has, for example an item that you deleted on Vinted or Wallapop. It is also for an item that sold. When none of the selected items is live, the row menu shows Relist from backup.

A complete saved copy of the item must exist. RestocksAIO makes the saved copy when you relist an item. An item that was never relisted has no saved copy.

RestocksAIO reads the item on the site first. Then it uses this unit rule:

  • Gone item (deleted on the site): the copy takes the units of the item when they are all in stock. When they are not in stock, the copy takes another unit, as for a sold item.
  • Sold item: the copy takes ANOTHER unit of the same product, size and condition. This unit must be in stock, and no live listing of the account can hold it. RestocksAIO takes the oldest unit first.

A unit is in stock when its status is Available or Listed. When no unit qualifies, RestocksAIO refuses the item before it sends a request: "No unit of this product and size is in stock to relist."

On Vinted and Wallapop, the copy goes up as a new item. RestocksAIO does not delete the sold item. The sold unit, its sale and its listing record stay as they are.

RestocksAIO refuses a reserved item and a live item. Use Relist for a live item.

eBay and Shopify

Relist from backup puts an eBay or Shopify listing back on sale after it ended, sold or was deleted. RestocksAIO never relists a live or held eBay or Shopify listing.

The saved copy

RestocksAIO saves a copy of an eBay or Shopify listing each time a publish from the app goes live and reads back live. The copy holds the publish data, the listing id and the SKU. The photos stay on their web addresses.

  • A draft publish saves no copy.
  • Listings that you published before this version have no copy. They get one at their next live publish from the app.
  • A listing without a saved copy shows no Relist from backup entry. For a listing that you published elsewhere, use Go live.

Relist

  1. Open the Marketplace tab.
  2. Right-click an eBay or Shopify listing, or tick several listings and open the row menu.
  3. Click Relist from backup.
  4. Read the confirmation. It shows how many relists each account has left today.
  5. Click Relist · N to start, or Cancel to stop.

RestocksAIO reads the listing on the site right before each write. Then it does one of these:

SiteWhat the site showsWhat RestocksAIO does
eBayThe listing ended, and the offer still holds a quantity. It publishes the same offer again.
eBayThe offer is deleted. It makes a new listing from the saved copy, with a new SKU.
eBayThe listing sold, or an order of the listing or the SKU exists since the copy was saved. It makes a new listing from the saved copy, with a new SKU and offer, and another unit. It never uses the sold offer again.
ShopifyThe product is archived, a draft, or active but off the sales channel. It sets the product to active and publishes it on the sales channel again.
ShopifyThe size sold or is sold out, and the size still exists. It links another unit to the size and adds 1 to the stock of the size. If the product is archived, a draft or off the sales channel, it then sets the product live. It makes no second product.
ShopifyThe product or the size is deleted. It makes a new product from the saved copy, with the status active.

The unit rule is the same as for Vinted and Wallapop. A sold listing takes another unit of the same product, size and condition that is in stock. A gone listing takes its own units first.

When the listing goes live again in place, the product stays the same. A new listing takes its unit through the normal publish. For a gone listing, RestocksAIO then removes the unit links from the old listing. For a sold listing, the sold unit, its sale and its record stay as they are.

RestocksAIO refuses the listing and changes nothing when:

  • the listing is still live. On eBay, another published offer on the same SKU also counts as live. On Shopify, another live product with the same SKU also counts as live.
  • no unit of the same product, size and condition is in stock and free of live listings of the account.
  • the condition of the listing is not known. RestocksAIO then does not choose another unit.
  • Shopify shows no stock level for a sold-out size.
  • eBay holds the listing.
  • eBay ended the listing itself. Check the reason in Seller Hub first.
  • the site deleted one size of a listing with several sizes. Publish the size again from the app.
  • another live listing of the same account holds the unit of a gone listing.
  • RestocksAIO cannot read the site, the orders, or the state of the listing.

Daily limit and pauses

Each Vinted, Wallapop, eBay and Shopify account has its own daily limit.

  1. Open Settings → Accounts and select the account.
  2. Go to Publishing defaults.
  3. Choose Relists per day.
SiteChoicesDefault
Vinted, Wallapop1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 10, 15, 20 or 3010
eBay, Shopify5, 10, 20, 30, 50, 75 or 10050

eBay and Shopify set no relist limit of their own. Your selling limits and the API call limits of the site still apply.

The limit counts the relists of the local calendar day. A relist counts when RestocksAIO sends the new item to the site. When the account reaches the limit, RestocksAIO refuses the other items of that account until the next day.

In one run, RestocksAIO waits a random 20 to 60 seconds between two relists.

Results

RestocksAIO shows the result of each item while the run continues. At the end, it shows "Relisted N of M items". The new items show in Listings after the next read of the account.

Where the saved copies are

RestocksAIO keeps the saved copies in the app's data folder, in the RelistBackups folder. Each account has its own folder. A Vinted or Wallapop copy holds the item fields and its photos. An eBay or Shopify copy holds the publish data. Its photos stay on their web addresses. See File Storage Locations.
